ASU students came together at the Memorial Union for a teach-in about a controversial class, "The Problem of Whiteness 101." Robert Poe, a justice studies student and ASU faculty associate led the teach-in about Lee Bebout’s course, “U.S. Race Theory & the Problem of Whiteness."

Student coders debug problems under pressure

During their first coding competition of the year on Saturday at The Brickyard, members of the ASU Software Developers Association (SoDA) were tasked to solve eight code problems, while members of State Farm, the event’s sponsor, tested and evaluated the codes.

ROTC executive officer gives back to veterans through clothing company

Army officer Michelle Bravo created her startup clothing company "i Rock the Boots," supported by ASU's Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative. Bravo is the executive officer for ASU’s Army ROTC program and said she wanted to give back to veterans and women. The T-shirts she and her team produce represent the strength yet femininity of women in the military.

"All Walks Project" raises awareness for sex trafficking

Last week, ASU’s All Walks Project hosted the Walking Through “The Life“ event, which raised awareness for human trafficking as a part of ASU Sex Trafficking Awareness Week. The event featured various tables with different organizations, activities and information about sex trafficking in Phoenix and Arizona.

Students get colorful in 5K run

Scores of runners came together Saturday morning for the Color Run 5K at Tempe Beach Park in Tempe. To complete the three-mile race, participants must run through various color stations that include orange, blue and pink colored powders.
