Downtown Dispatch: LUXury Coffee

In midtown Phoenix is a tiny coffee shop that has a lot of heart to it. LUX Coffee Bar is an intimate coffee shop that offers hand-crafted, quality espresso-based drinks and also some of the most delicious pastries around. When I first started coming to the downtown campus, I took myself on a tour of the city to scope out all the important things: coffee shops, restaurants, and vintage stores.

Other than Ramen: The Great Debate

Which do you choose: Red Vines or Twizzlers? Everyone has their favorite, but I’m wondering when and why this great debate started. Some people claim Red Vines are artificial tasting, others say Twizzlers taste like plastic.

Palm Walk Runway: Bright and Bold

Even with a few gloomy days of spring showers, the weather is definitely not stopping fashionistas around campus. Palm Walk Runway: Hardcore Bracelets

As I was searching for various fashion trends, I came across a very unique bracelet. Designer Proenza Schouler has a collection of bracelets that look as if they were made with a rock climber’s bungee cords, and carabiner clasps. The bracelets are made in a variety of colors and designs, each one completely different from the other. The cord bracelets are perfect for the spring and summer, with their bright vibrant colors and laid-back feel.

Downtown Dispatch: Iced Coffee At Lola

Some of you may or may not know, but I am a huge coffee enthusiast. I look forwarding to getting up every morning just so I can drink coffee (among other reasons, of course), and I’m always on the hunt for the next best cup of joe.

The Herb Alternative

College is full of stress, anxiety, endless colds and the flu. When students get sick, some turn to herbal medicine rather than Western pharmaceuticals.

Downtown Dispatch: Ann Taylor's Wardrobe

The Phoenix Art Museum is continuing on with their “The Year of Fashion at the Phoenix Art Museum” with one of their recent exhibits, “The Original Style of Ann Bonfoey Taylor.” So last Wednesday when the Phoenix Art Museum was free for the evening, I set some time aside to spend exploring, admiring, and reading up on the life and clothing of Ann Taylor.
