ASU softball has returned from California and looks to ride the momentum from a sweep into its next games at home against Utah.

The No. 7 ASU softball team played California on Friday to Sunday in its second road Pac-12 series and left with high spirits after sweeping the weekend.
The Sun Devils just seem to be getting better and better.
The power offense was on display again for ASU softball, as the Sun Devils hit three home runs to surge past California Saturday for a 10-2 run-rule victory in six innings.
ASU softball traveled to Berkley, Calif., for its series against conference competitor California and opened up hot, despite some light rain, and won the first game of the series 7-2.
It’s another weekend road trip for ASU softball for its series against Pac-12 competitor California beginning Friday in Berkley, Calif.
Nobody can predict what happens in a rivalry series, and that was no exception for ASU softball as it took on rival UA in a three-game series that not only had the highest attendance of the year, but also some of the most tense games played at Farrington Stadium.
It would have been a dream come true for ASU softball to sweep its series against rival UA, but the Sun Devils couldn’t pull out the win in extra innings and settled with a 6-5 loss.
