Two ASU students- Markie Battaglia and Blake DuPree- are celebrating Valentine's day in Aspen this year, but they're preparations before they leave are no less important. We follow their Valentine's journey as students going through a process of self-evaluation and constant pressure from the world around them. Civil rights group Barrio Defense Committees gathered Wednesday near the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale to protest the soccer game between Mexico and Denmark.
Carrick Felix describes the adversities he has faced during his basketball career. He talks about carrying those experiences on the court to lead by example and inspire his team. His recent performances against UCLA and USC won him national attention when he picked up two double-doubles. His block against UCLA's Jordan Adams in the final seconds of the game landed him a spot on SportsCenter's Top 10.
A website designed to offer a more tight-knit online community for veterans, AlphaStripe is a new, military-specific brand of social media. AlphaStripe gives veterans a chance to share their stories firsthand through photos, videos and words- creating an online "time capsule" for the military community. The website was co-founded by ASU students Jason Brown and Eli Chmouni.
