Students from the ASU Student Alumni Association took up guard at Tempe's A Mountain to protect it from University of Arizona's annual tradition of painting it before the ASU versus U of A rivalry football game. Various other student organizations came out to help the SAA with its mission to guard the A.

The Society of Automotive Engineers is an international organization of engineering students and engineers that gives the teams a set of regulations with which they have to build a competitive race car.

ASU groups host first ASU Special Olympics

Devils Pitching In and the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College partnered with Special Olympics to host the first ASU Special Olympics on Saturday. People of all ages from local Special Olympics chapters came out to participate in basketball, volleyball, soccer and dodgeball. Athletes rotated between the sports and participated in a fall carnival hosted by the Teachers College.
