Marching bands have been a staple of collegiate sports for generations and Arizona State’s marching band is no exception. The 400-plus-member band wakes up at the crack of dawn on game day excited to take part in the traditions that have been forged by almost 100 years’ worth of precedents. While some call it a dream come true, being a part of the marching band can be draining, especially on game day, however, the exhaustion throughout the day doesn’t even matter when the band is playing their hearts out on the field for the fans. Some might even say the energy of the fans coupled with the second wind felt when the band rushes out of the Tillman Tunnel for pre-game is a harmonious relationship.
