ASU LGBTQ+ resources are now found in the Rainbow Coalition website, according to a University spokesperson

"Students and student-led organizations, including Students for Justice in Palestine at ASU, have condemned ASU's changing of resources, such as a trans-specific ASU website and wellness resources for the LGBTQ+ community."

ASU quietly changed LGBTQ+ resources on multiple websites and redirected the links to a page for the Rainbow Coalition, a student-led coalition that advocates for the LGBTQ+ community on campus.

"Resources can be found on the rainbow coalition website," stated a University spokesperson in an email. "For other resource or support needs, students can reach out to the Dean of Students office."

Students and student-led organizations, including Students for Justice in Palestine at ASU, have condemned ASU's changing of resources, such as a trans-specific ASU website and wellness resources for the LGBTQ+ community.

The change comes after President Donald Trump's executive order on Jan. 20, which said "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female."

This removal and relocation also fell 18 days after the U.S. Department of Education issued a letter on Feb. 14 to institutions that receive federal funding regarding President Donald Trump's executive order to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs and "preferencing."

The letter stated institutions needed to cease "using race preferences and stereotypes as a factor in their admissions, hiring, promotion, compensation, scholarships, prizes, administrative support, sanctions, discipline, and beyond," within 14 days or lose federal funding and face potential investigation.

"'We will measure our success, not based on who we exclude, but who we include and how they succeed,'" ASU President Michael Crow said in a meeting with the State Press yesterday afternoon. "So that is, to me, what the aspiration should have always been."
