No. 8 Sun Devil Volleyball clinched ASU's first Big 12 conference title on Wednesday in one of their most historic seasons.  ASU won a share of the title after beating Colorado, but BYU's upset over No. 11 Kansas gave ASU full ownership of regular season champions.

The Sun Devils currently sit at a 28-2 record on a 16-game winning streak. Their overall record is tied with last year's team for the most wins this century and the second-most of all time. Their winning streak is the second-longest the program has held and the 16 Big 12 wins are the most ASU has won in a conference, creating a new record, according to Sun Devil Athletics.

ASU leads the Big 12 in opponent kills hitting percentage with .156 and has the second-highest hitting percentage at .276. Graduate middle blocker Claire Jeter stands alone at the top with the highest individual hitting percentage in the conference at .435 with 242 kills. Both are major contributing factors to this conference title.

No. 8 is the highest ranking since 2015 and under head coach JJ Van Niel, according to Sun Devil Athletics. With the championship title, ASU has the Big 12 auto bid with a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The 2024 NCAA DI Women's Volleyball selection show is on Dec. 1 where ASU will find out what seed and if Tempe will potentially host the first two rounds of the tournament.

Undefeated at home with a 16-1 conference record, ASU looks to end its year with a victory in the final match on Friday, Nov. 29 against UCF on highly anticipated senior day with seven in their graduating class.
