If you're looking to start the week with a stroll through campus, admiring the unique modern buildings, quiet study spaces and architectural pieces of history around campus, go read something else

Here is a slightly silly, but also practical, guide to the five must-visit bathrooms at ASU.

5. Bathrooms of the future in W.P. Carey

The W.P. WC (water closet — that's British for bathroom) is tricked out with the most modern bathroom features. The most unique part of the Business Administration building restrooms has to be the sliding doors, that make you wonder, "Am I entering the grocery store or just looking for the toilets?" Blue mood lights line the bottoms of the sinks, making hand washing a fun and inviting experience.

Despite its futuristic flair, the women's restrooms still have a quarter operated sanitary napkin and tampon dispenser. Though few students carry quarters these days, perhaps this relic of the past serves as a delicate reminder of capitalism for the studious business leaders of tomorrow.

4. A private post office potty in downtown Phoenix

Recommended by a friend of the State Press staff, this could possibly be the most secluded restroom on the downtown Phoenix campus. The gender-neutral bathroom boasts privacy and versatility — with both a toilet and a urinal.

Located in the pristine downtown student center, which itself is built into a historic post office, this bathroom is always clean and seldom occupied.

3. A peachy paradise in the Life Science Center

This five stall women's restroom is a blast from the past with a desert-inspired design. Regretfully, the once blush-colored stall doors have been repainted a boring shade of off-white. Still, a fogged window spans an entire wall above the sinks, flooding the bathroom with Arizona sunshine.

Vintage fixtures and exposed brick accents evoke the spirits of Sun Devil sisters of the past, making this an excellent space to contemplate your legacy and future as you stare endlessly at peach-speckled wall tiles.

Bonus: Walking to this bathroom, sssssay "hello" to ASU's collection of live snakes displayed along the halls of the Life Science Center A building.

2. The Memorial Union's best bathrooms — clean and secluded

Overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the Memorial Union? Intimidated by the first floor bathrooms? Head to the third floor for clean and private gender neutral bathrooms galore. If you hear tears from across the wall, don't worry ... it's definitely not one of our editors crying.

But seriously, this bathroom is the favorite of our newsroom. Keep it clean and walk down the hall to say "hello" to our team when you're done.

1.  Scenic views from the Old Main bathroom tower

This three story tower, attached by breezeways to the back wall of Old Main, is the ultimate ASU bathroom-going experience. For the best visit, take the elevator or stairs to the top-floor bathroom. Here you will find men's, women's and single-stall options.

The interior of these bathrooms has retro black and white tiles. The natural light in these bathrooms surpasses that of the Life Science Center, giving a glowing atmosphere to take care of business. When you're all done, step outside and take in the University campus view in sweet relief.
