The City of Tempe unanimously re-zoned land a property called 1020 Apache, which will be allocated for housing, retail and other mixed-use purposes.

The building site, located about a mile from the University's Tempe campus, is about 200 feet wide, and will be 15 stories high of 300 units. It will include different housing spaces, from studio apartments to four-bedroom suites, as well as two pools on the fifth and 14th floors, respectively. There will be a lounge, fitness centers, and parking spaces.

The area has been re-zoned to include the housing units, as well as 2,105 square feet of restaurant and retail space, 292 square feet of outdoor dining space, a lobby, electric vehicle charging spaces and bicycle parking areas. The site is currently a Super 8 Motel.
