ASU hockey announced the 2021 portion of their 2020-21 season schedule Friday afternoon, with the last game of the calendar year taking place this evening against No. 18 Ohio State.
ASU will kick-off the new year against Minnesota on Jan. 3-4. Minnesota is currently the No. 1 team in the nation according to the most recent U.S. College Hockey Online poll. Minnesota entered this week's games with a perfect 8-0 record.
ASU will return to South Bend, Indiana to play against No. 16 Notre Dame the week after, a team who they split a series with earlier in the season, winning 6-3 and losing 4-5.
ASU will then travel to play against No. 14 Wisconsin, who they swept earlier in the season, and then play Minnesota again to round out the month.
The conclusion of the second Minnesota series in late January is followed by a nearly three-week-long break for ASU, with the next game not to be played until Feb. 14 against Michigan State.
ASU will then play at Penn State, No. 6 Michigan, a team that swept the Sun Devils in the first series of the season, and Ohio State to close out the season.
The Sun Devils have played all of their games so far this season on the road, having never returned to Tempe since the beginning of the season, which began in the middle of November.
