Herm Edwards' first Territorial Cup as head coach at ASU was one to remember.
Trailing 40-21 entering the fourth quarter, the Sun Devils rallied and stormed all the way back to stun Arizona 41-40.
ASU out scored the Wildcats 20-0 in the final quarter while being the beneficiary of two costly Arizona turnovers, and that would be all the daylight ASU needed to pull out a miraculous comeback that will likely go down in Territorial Cup lore.
ASU sophomore running back Eno Benjamin scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Sun Devils in the fourth quarter following an Arizona fumble on a botched handoff.
The touchdown occurred on the very next play following the turnover, and it sent the ASU faithful who made the trip down south into a frenzy.
Earlier in the quarter, redshirt senior quarterback Manny Wilkins cut the deficit in half on an 11-yard rushing touchdown.
Then, needing a big two-point conversion, Wilkins was able to find redshirt junior tight end Tommy Hudson in the corner of the end zone to make the score a one-possession game at 40-32. The touchdown and two points would set the stage for what was to come.
After ASU took the lead on Benjamin's run, Arizona would storm back down the field, and the game would ultimately come down to a 45-yard field goal from the Wildcats in the waning seconds.
The kick missed wide right, and it sent the ASU sideline into euphoria, as Edwards officially sealed his first win against ASU's in-state rival.
ASU's dramatic late-game comeback allowed the team to finish at 7-5 on the season, and the Sun Devils will now await their verdict on which bowl game the team will be playing in come December.
