ASU volleyball dropped both of its matches at Washington and Washington State this weekend. The Sun Devils are now at 13-13 in their overall season and 4-10 in Pac-12 play, and they have lost eight straight games.
ASU vs. Washington
On Friday night, ASU took on Washington and fell 3-1.The Huskies took the first set of Friday night's game 25-20.
Senior outside hitter Alyse Ford notched 24 kills during the match and helped lead the Sun Devils to taking the second set 25-18.
Another key player in the match against Washington was junior libero Courtney Leffel. Leffel led both teams in digs with 27.
ASU continued its fight into the third set and pushed the set into extra points, but the Huskies took the set 29-27 in a set that went down to the wire.
Following the hard-fought set, Washington would close things out to secure a victory.
ASU vs. Washington State
Following a loss in Seattle, ASU headed to Pullman to take on No. 18 Washington State on Sunday afternoon.
The Sun Devils were swept 3-0, but Leffel had 11 digs in the match as she reached a streak of 11 straight matches with double-digits digs.
WSU took the first set 25-12, and the Sun Devils put up a fight in the second set, but it ultimately went to the Cougars 25-20.
WSU ended the match after taking the final set 25-21. Up next, ASU volleyball is on the road again next weekend to take on Colorado on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. MST.
