ASU men's golf finished second in the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational held in Windermere, Fla., from Oct. 21-23, rounding out the team's fall season with their fourth straight top-five finish.
The Tavistock Collegiate Invitational hosted a plethora of top-25 ranked men's golf programs, including No. 9 Illinois, No. 10 Texas, No. 13 Vanderbilt, No. 24 South Carolina, No. 20 Auburn and No. 22 LSU.
Vanderbilt dominated Isleworth Country Club throughout the tournament, shooting 31-under-par as a team and finishing 20 strokes ahead of ASU and Auburn en route to their first place finish. Vanderbilt senior Will Gordon shot a bogey-free, 6-under-par 66 to seal his individual first place finish at 16-under par (64-70-66).
Sun Devil sophomore Mason Andersen jumped up nine spots on the leaderboard following his 5-under-par (67) final round on Tuesday, finishing T-8, which was his best finish this season.
Junior Chun An Yu went into the final round of the tournament contending for a top-10 finish. His 2-under-par 70 was just enough to land him T-10 at 4-under for the invitational (71-71-70). Following his finish, Chun is ranked as the 12th best collegiate golfer in the nation.
Junior Blake Wagoner improved on his finish during his final round, moving up 12 spots to finish T-20 at +1 for the tournament. His teammate, junior Alex Del Rey, finished one stroke behind him at +2, earning him a T-22 finish.
In addition, freshman Cameron Sisk rounded out the roster, finishing T-63 following a tough 8-over-par final round to finish +11(75-72-80).
ASU's next tournament won't be until next year when they travel to Tucson for the Arizona Intercollegiate on Jan. 28-29.
