Pedestrians walk past the West Sixth apartment complex on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. A person died after apparently falling from the apartment on Wednesday Aug. 22, 2018.

A man was found dead after a fall from the 14th floor of the West 6th apartment complex in downtown Tempe, according to Tempe police.

Officers responded to the area at around 1 p.m. and found the man dead at the scene.

The man was not an ASU student, according to Nicole Franks, interim spokesperson for ASU PD. The case was handled solely by Tempe police, Franks added.

There was no evidence of foul play when officers responded to the call, a Tempe Police Department spokesperson said. Examiners have yet to conduct an autopsy, police say.

This is far from the first person to apparently fall from one of Tempe’s high-rise apartments. In September 2017, an ASU student died after falling 20 stories from the West 6th building
