When the Mixed Martial Arts Club began almost two months ago, Thomas Quiroz had a goal of creating a community around the sport at ASU. The club grew to an attendance of more than 20 people, and has become a place for students to practice their martial arts and find sparring partners of all skill levels. Each meeting consists of practicing various martial arts moves and techniques, followed by so-called "free time" where members are free to spar with each other and hone the skills they learn.
