Traffic on Terrace Road between Lemon Street and Rural Road was impacted after a shooting occurred at the Vertex Apartments early Friday morning, Tempe Police officials said.
Police dispatch received a call that shots had been fired during an altercation at the apartment complex near the Tempe campus at 5 a.m. Friday, Tempe Police spokesperson Tracie Kittelson said.
The injured person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds, Kittelson said.
While the light rail is still running through the area, traffic has been impacted.
