After a dominating performance against Colorado on Friday, ASU tennis picked up its second road win of the weekend on Sunday, taking down No. 63 Utah 4-1.

The No. 26 Sun Devils are now 3-1 in Pac-12 play this spring and won their third straight match to improve to 9-4 overall.

"To go 2-0 on the road like we did this weekend, that's a tough thing to do," head coach Sheila McInerney said. "We played two good teams, so we're happy with that result."

ASU continued its success in doubles this season, grabbing the first point of the day with wins on courts two and three. Seniors Desirae Krawczyk and Stephanie Vlad secured the point with a 6-2 win on the second doubles court to give the Sun Devils an early 1-0 lead.

As singles began, ASU quickly took control of the match. Junior Kassidy Jump was first off the court, earning a straight set victory over Utah senior Sarah Richter. Hampton was close behind with a 6-3, 6-4 win on court five to put the team up 3-1. The Sun Devils lone freshman is now 2-1 since returning from a foot injury she suffered on Feb. 21 against Long Beach State.

Things didn't go as well on court number one as Krawczyk suffered the lone loss of the day for ASU. Coming into the match riding a personal three-game win streak, Krawczyk fell to unranked sophomore Margo Pletcher in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. McInerney said it was a disappointing performance from the team's senior leader.

"That was probably her worst match of the semester quite honestly," she said. "She just didn't play well at all, but her teammates really picked her up to get the win.

Despite the loss, Krawczyk's teammates would quickly pick up the slack.  Senior Ebony Panoho grabbed a 6-4, 7-6 win on court number three to clinch the team competition the Sun Devils. Both Vlad and junior Gussie O'Sullivan had their respective matches abandoned due to the conclusion of the team competition.

The Sun Devils now get the week off before hitting the road once again to take on No. 20 Oregon in Eugene.

"We've been on the road for something like five days now," McInerney said. "It'll be good to get a few days off after a couple nice road wins like this."
