ASU football had its second bowl practice on Saturday, and head coach Todd Graham is hoping his team ends the season on a high note.
"There's only one way we want to finish this thing, and that's with winning a bowl," he said.
On Jan. 2, ASU will play West Virginia University in the Cactus Bowl at Chase Field in Phoenix.
The Sun Devils finished the season with a 6-6 record and in fourth place in the Pac-12 south. Graham thinks that winning the bowl could help the mood of the offseason.
"If you don't win (a bowl) it's just not a positive experience going into the offseason," he said.
Practice consisted of each position getting reps in drills. Some left early to prepare for the team banquet that will be held on Saturday evening.
Graham said his team is eager to play in the Cactus Bowl.
"(The energy is) great," he said. These guys are excited, and I think they're excited to send these seniors off with a win."
