Atticue, which launched in March, allows users to discover thousands of events going on in Arizona, said Atticue founder and CEO Brandon Farver.
"For those who like to get out with their friends, they will always be able to find something to do," he said.
Marketing Director Sean Farver said the app allows users to create their own personal events as well as private and corporate events.
“Atticue is Arizona-based for discovering events, but people all around the world can engage in the app," he said. "It’s more than just concerts."
With ASU students moving in this week, the nightlife around Scottsdale and Tempe will increase. The app developers are trying to take advantage of this opportunity as they brand themselves throughout campus.
Their promotions team attended ASU's Tiki Luau on Monday in Tempe to help welcome the incoming freshman class. Starting every Wednesday this week, they will also be partnering with the popular club Mint in Old Town Scottsdale.
Atticue has recently incorporated discounts for tickets for people who purchase through the app. They have also partnered with Uber as well to give users free rides to many of these events happening in the area.
People are quickly catching on to the app and the number of users is growing each day, Atticue chief technology officer Jeremy Barr said.
“We have 10,000 users as of right now, but we are growing bigger and bigger each day, he said.
To help grow, Atticue is pushing user engagement through brand ambassadors who use social media heavily. Most of its brand ambassadors attend ASU and have a large following on social media. You can find their brand ambassadors all over campus, and you can usually find them at parties all over Tempe.
There are so many features in the app and more are constantly being added to it, Barr said. He said his favorite feature on the app is their Top 20 list which is released every week to users.
Atticue has much more to come in the next few months. San Diego is the next goal and Atticue hopes to start expanding its users in the spring semester.
