Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

A 25-year-old Tempe man was arrested July 7 on the 1200 block of West Grove Parkway on suspicion of burglary, trafficking in stolen property and failing to appear to authorities, according to a police report.

The man had an ongoing consensual sexual relationship with the owner on an apartment and would often meet at the owner’s residence to spend the night, police reported.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., the man left the residence when the owner had to leave for work, according to the report.

When the owner returned home, he found that his apartment had been burglarized and that entry had been made through a front window near the entry door, police reported.

Officials collected latent fingerprints from the window pane and the outside of the apartment, all of which were matched to the man, according to the report.

The man had pawned a Playstation 4 along with a Mortal Kombat, a Toshiba 1TB hard drive and a white game controller, police reported.

The apartment owner provided receipts of the initial purchase of these items and alerted officers to their absence during his home’s investigation, according to the report.

During an interview, the man denied stealing and pawning the items, police reported.

The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, according to the report.

A 32-year-old Tempe man was arrested July 7 on the 1600 block of North Scottsdale Road on suspicion of identity theft and forgery, according to a police report.

The man had entered a Food City store to cash a fraudulent check while presenting fraudulent identification, police reported.

Earlier that day, the same man had attempted to cash the same fraudulent check at another Food City with the same fraudulent identification, according to the report.

In an interview, the man admitted to using the fraudulent check and identification card, police reported.

The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, according to the report.
