The college football offseason breeds controversy and speculation, with several pundits submitting their early projections for the 2015 season.
Campus Insiders' Pete Fiutak was the latest, providing a video series of college football previews for teams across the country and the Pac-12.
His hot take for ASU in 2015? He projects the Sun Devils, while experienced, to win seven games.
The Pac-12 preview projected ASU to finish in fourth place in the Pac-12 South behind UCLA, USC and Utah.
Fiutak's projection of seven wins would be lowest total for the program since its hire of coach Todd Graham in Dec. 2011.
Since Graham's hire, ASU has won 28 games and compiled back-to-back 10-win seasons. They won the first Pac-12 South title in school history in 2013, earning Graham Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors.
ASU lost four players to the 2015 NFL Draft in defensive back Damarious Randall, wide receiver Jaelen Strong, offensive lineman Jamil Douglas and defensive lineman Marcus Hardison.
The Sun Devils are otherwise expected to return almost the entirety of their starting defense that proved to be more a strength than a weakness down the stretch in 2014.
Offensive coordinator Mike Norvell is expected to have one of the top offenses in the Pac-12 behind new starting quarterback Mike Bercovici and returning stars D.J. Foster, Demario Richard and Kalen Ballage.
