A day after the program fired Herb Sendek, ASU men’s basketball will have another hole to fill.
Center Connor MacDougall has announced his intentions to leave ASU, according to azcentral sports’ Doug Haller.
MacDougall impressed in the Maroon and Gold Scrimmage before the season, but did not get much playing time before injuring his shoulder in early February.
MacDougall was suspended for three games earlier this season, along with junior guard Roosevelt Scott for a “violation of any team’s rules,” according to Sendek.
MacDougall played in six games this season, scoring 12 points and grabbing four rebounds in 23 minutes of action.
Out of Corona Del Sol High School in Tempe, MacDougall was rated three stars by 247Sports and also had offers from New Mexico and St. Mary’s.
Update (April 20): According to Gregg Rosenberg, MacDougall will transfer to South Mountain Community College.
