Tempe Police reported the following incidents Friday:
A 35-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 3 at Southern Avenue and Potter Drive on suspicion of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and narcotic drug possession, according to a police report.
Officers smelled the distinct odor of marijuana coming from the man's vehicle, police reported.
The man and his passenger both said they had medical marijuana cards, according to the report.
The man told officers he had marijuana in his underwear, police reported. A search revealed a baggie containing marijuana, according to the report.
The suspect said he had $40 worth of weed under his seat, and his passenger said he had approximately an ounce of marijuana and two grams of hash on his person, police reported.
The man was arrested and transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges, police reported.
A 20-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 5 at Hardy Drive and 7th Street on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
During a traffic stop after a DUI investigation, the vehicle was searched and a usable quantity of a green leafy substance was found in the suspect’s right pocket, police reported.
The man later said he had smoked marijuana earlier in the day, police reported. According to the report, officers found an apple containing burnt marijuana residue and the odor of marijuana.
The man was arrested and transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held, police reported.
