Boo-ravo to Olive Garden's "unlimited pasta passes" and the controversy surrounding them. For $100, 1,000 customers get to eat as much pasta (and soup, salads, and breadsticks) as they like between Sept. 22 and Nov. 9. However, the passes sold out within an hour and there's now a flourishing black market for them. Bravo pasta; boo black markets.

Bravo to Mathew Blades of MIX 96.9 radio for the way he chose to honor 9/11, by asking people who were born or who were married on 9/11 to call so he could wish them a happy birthday or anniversary. Although it's important to remember the loved ones lost in such a tragic event, it's also important to celebrate the loved ones who live today.

Boo to researchers "discovering" that fat shaming doesn't work. Studies show that obese people encountered discrimination from both their health care providers and the occasional passing jerk.

Bravo to "Rival Survival," the reality TV show in which Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., will be co-starring. He's traveling to a remote island and spending time with a Democrat. Hopefully, the two will learn some bipartisanship rather than come back to the capitol and repeat their "Lord of the Flies" activity.

Boo to the Daily Wildcat for running an inaccurate and offensive column and then failing to properly address it. UA's student newspaper should never have approved the column "Only responsibility can stop rape," which advocated victim-blaming and drew nonsensical connections between rape and smoking, but its response, which cast off all editorial responsibility, was even worse.

Bravo to the concurrent hashtag campaigns #WhyIStayed and #WhyILeft for shutting down potential victim-blaming of Janay Rice after she released a statement about why she chose to stay with husband and Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice.

Boo to the federal government for threatening to fine Yahoo $250,000 per day for refusing to turn over customer data. Unsealed documents revealed the secret court order.

Bravo to the two Russian and one American astronauts that returned safely from the International Space Station after six months in space.

Boo to Roger Goodell and the NFL for lying about the Ray Rice tape. Shame on you for letting it turn into this mess.
