Man's bank account used at Casino Arizona


ASU Police reported the following incidents Monday:

A 21-year-old man's debit card was used to make a withdrawal and several transactions on March 19 and 20, according to a police report.

The man reported the incident to police Wednesday after checking his Arizona State Federal Credit Union statement and noticed several transactions had been made without his consent, police reported.

He said the card was not lost or stolen and a PIN is not needed to make withdrawals, police reported.

The transactions included a $300 withdrawal from an ATM located inside the Memorial Union, a $2,072.95 transaction at Casino Arizona in and a $202.95 transaction at a PLS Check Cashers in Scottsdale, according to the report.

He estimated the total loss at $3,500, police said.


A 19-year-old Tempe woman and an 18-year-old man were arrested Wednesday on the 400 block of East Veterans Way on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

The man and woman were seen smoking marijuana from a glass pipe on top of Parking Structure 5, police reported.

The two were taken to the ASU Police Department for booking and processing, according to the report.
