Devil Dish: Pac-12 Network disappoints fans

March Madness got me thinking: Pac-12 basketball fans got cheated all season long.

The Pac-12 Network was designed to bring conference games to more households across the country. The only problem is that it essentially did the exact opposite, especially in the greater Phoenix area.

Dish Network and DirecTV don’t carry the Pac-12 Network. In fact, the only cable provider that does is Cox. That’s only if you have the upgraded sports package, too.

It’s a shame that so few providers carry the network. The picture quality is actually quite good, along with the announcing.

In the end, it doesn’t matter. If you can’t watch the game, what’s the point of having a fancy network?

It’s very inconvenient for fans of ASU and the rest of the schools in the conference. ASU and UA games were much more frequently aired on Fox Sports Arizona.

If the Pac-12 can reach an agreement with more cable providers, it has a lot of potential.

If they can’t, I think they should scrap this idea.
