ASU students take a stand against human trafficking

ASU rose to the challenge issued by Obama in September asking students to come up with innovative ways to use technology for the purpose of combating human trafficking. ASU’s Changemaker Central, an organization that helps students get their ideas off the ground and into action, worked with The United States Agency for International Development to hold a conference informing students about the immediacy of the issue. The Call To Action Against Human Trafficking is ASU’s Campus Challenge event for the month of January. Alexis La Benz is the perfect example of one way in which ASU students can break the mold and tackle seemingly impossible tasks. As a freshman La Benz works to raise awareness about Human Trafficking with her jewelry and Teens On Trafficking organization.
