Tech Spec: Pessimistic with Peekiegram

I reviewed the Peekiegram app that is currently only available through Apple’s App Store. It is a free “photo-flirting” app that transforms a normal photo into a note, utilizing themes and captions. Owtside’s (the company responsible for Peekiegram) owner, Frank Salls, described the app in an email saying “Peekiegram adds flavor when communicating what’s coming up next.” Want to see how the app works and hear my point of view? Check out the video:

Is Peekiegram the next Instagram? from The State Press on Vimeo.

Owtside plans on releasing a version of this app for Android and Windows Phones in the coming months.

If you have any thoughts or concerns, feel free to message me on Twitter @Court_Jeffrey or via email at cejeffre@asu.edu. Happy Peekie-ing!
