Halloween is the one day a year people can forget all the rules and be anything- I mean anything. You can be sexy or scary, but I personally enjoy the extra witty or clever costumes that make you laugh upon that person’s entrance.  While attending various parties this year, I encountered some pretty unforgettable costumes.  Here are what I think made the Top 5 Halloween Costumes at ASU this year:

Charlie Sheen If you went out this Halloween, chances are you saw someone “winning”!  Either labeled with a sign stating the infamous phrase or sporting one of Charlie Sheen’s unforgettable bowling shirts from Two and a Half Men, multitudes of guys dressed up as this downward spiraling (yet never ceasing to amaze) celebrity. (Extra points if you had a “goddess” at your side)

Black Swan Natalie Portman’s dark character from the movie “Black Swan” made a mark this Halloween with girls. The costume mostly consisted of a black tutu and extremely thick black eyeliner, sometimes covered with glitter.

Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, or Nicki Minaj Musical icons always land a spot at the top of the costume list, especially these three leading ladies. From these pop stars’ bright wigs to their crazy outfits, Halloween costumers ate them up. From Lady Gaga’s meat dress to Katy Perry’s “California Girls” blue wig and cupcake bra, the options for dress up possibilities were infinite at ASU parties this year.

Angry Birds Unless you live under a rock, you know what Angry Birds is. This addicting iPhone game’s cute little birds flocked to parties this year. Many girls took a cute spin on it, dressing in colored tutus with fuzzy yellow boots and the bird-faced beanies.

Deadmau5 or LMFAO Robot I always appreciate a costume that takes some effort to make. Deadmau5 and the LMFAO Robot are no exception. I saw them both constructed this year at parties making other partygoers go crazy.  ade out of cardboard and painted, these costumes had everyone “shuffling.”
