How many girls told you the week before Halloween “I need to lose weight?” I think it’s comical that the necessity to wear a revealing outfit is the sudden reality check to shed a few pounds, but regardless, the topic got me thinking about all of the crazy fab diets created for times like these (and how many of us have tried them).
Here is a list of some of the most common Fab Diets out there. I’m not saying any of them work or are in any way a smart or healthy option. (In fact, if attempted, chances are the weight lost is just water weight and will be gained back once the dieter begins eating normally.) I’m just giving the rundown of what so many girls actually consider:
The Lemonade Diet Also known as the “Master Cleanse,” this crazy diet became famous after Beyonce claimed to use it to shed excessive weight for her role in the movie “Dream Girls.” It consists of eating nothing and drinking a lemonade, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper concoction for 14 days. Sound crazy? It is.

The Grapefruit Diet This long lasting diet is popular for the weight losing properties that grapefruits naturally have. This 12-day diet consists of eating generally normal, but very little, food and eating or drinking a large amount of grapefruits or juice.
No Carb Diet Carbs have forever had a bad reputation in the diet world. The reason roots from the fact that your body retains water when digesting extra carbohydrates and generally your blood sugar also rises. The diet is based on a “carnivore” eating style by simply munching on proteins and vegetables.
The Juice or Raw Food Diet This diet gained popularity when eating organic became the latest trend. From the idea of eating only raw things, this diet is based on the idea of staying away from anything that is processed and being as close to nature’s diet as possible.
The Cranberry Juice Diet Some of you may have heard of this diet joked about in the popular movie Mean Girls, but this diet is another harsh plan. It consists of eating mostly vegetables and fruits while drinking 32-64 ounces of cranberry juice a day.
