Because I am a pessimist at heart, 2 Broke Girls comforts my soul. Kat Denning’s sarcastic quips coupled with Beth Behrs’s naïve rich-girl comments basically make up the show’s plot line. Even though the idea of the story isn’t completely original, I enjoy that every episode they are working toward a goal, providing some sort of consistency throughout the story. If you’re not sure what kind of humor I’m talking about, take a look here.

The story is based around Denning’s character, Max Black, who works two jobs just to get by. She meets Behr’s character named Caroline Channing, a mega-rich upper-east-sider. Max soon finds out that Caroline lost all her money, and is now forced to find a place to work and stay. Despite being from two different worlds, Max opens up her home to Caroline, and together they make a hilarious, albeit dysfunctional, duo.

From the polls, the show isn’t doing too bad for its first season either. The ratings for Monday, Oct. 10 listed 2 Broke Girls as one of the top shows for the 8 p.m. time slot. Also, for the time slot, it received the most viewers from the 18-49 age demographic.

Now for the ha-has: I always like to find little links for the viewers that definitely capture the essence of the show. Here is the embodiment of Denning’s humor in the show, while Behrs’s humor is a little bit more like this.
