Even with a few gloomy days of spring showers, the weather is definitely not stopping fashionistas around campus.
Fashionista Courtney Cordoba took advantage of the sunshine one afternoon before the clouds decided to visit us yet another time.
I was immediately drawn to the fuchsia color of Courtney’s dress. Not only is the color of her dress saying spring, but the light flowy feel and delicate detail at the bottom is perfect for a sunny, casual day.

I believe that you can never have too many dresses. They are great for those days that you simply do not want to decide on a top or a bottom to wear, or for those days when you want to feel girly and fun. A dress is always the way to go.
For shoes, Courtney means business. Courtney paired her dress with statement Steve Madden black wedges. Her wedges are perfect because they give her outfit a little bit more of a statement, with simple detailing on the toe. The black color is perfect because it gives a contrast to her dress and allows the fuchsia to stand out even more.
You can never go wrong with wedges. Whether you are looking to dress up an outfit for the night, or give your casual day outfit a little more height, wedges are the way to go.
Courtney definitely has it going on in the accessories department. She chose to keep it fairly simple by adding an intricate necklace. The necklace has multiple chains intertwining and a bold ring in the center to top it off. I love this necklace because it allows Courtney to show her creative side without being too over the top.
Necklaces with multiple chains connected are very popular right now. Even if you don’t want to spend the money on a necklace, you could always combine a variety of your necklaces and have your own intertwined chain look.
To tie in the black in Courtney’s shoes, she paired her outfit with the traditional movie star-like sunglasses, and a classic Kate Spade black purse. The beautiful thing about black is that no matter what outfit she is wearing, her favorite Kate Spade purse and glasses will always accessorize well.
Now, to top off her outfit, Courtney painted her nails in a very trendy way. With the nails painted all one color and an emphasis with a different color on the ring finger, she is rocking the nail trend.
I personally love this look, and even though I may get a million people asking me why I only have one color painted differently, I still love the bold look.
