ASU Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 19-year-old male ASU student was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia around 10:23 p.m. on Jan. 27, police reported.He was arrested at Hassayampa Academic Village on ASU’s Tempe campus after he was contacted because of the odor of burning marijuana coming from inside his room, according to a police report.
A consent search of his room produced a usable quantity of an unburned green, leafy substance and paraphernalia, police reported.
He was transported to the ASU Police Department, where he was processed and later released, according to a police report.
Charges were submitted to the county attorney for review, police reported.
- An unknown suspect or suspects unlawfully took possession of an 18-year-old male ASU student’s vehicle headlights between Jan. 27 around 4 p.m. and Jan. 28 around 5:30 p.m., police reported.The suspect or suspects unlatched the hood to the vehicle and removed both headlight bulbs from their position in the headlamp housing, according to a police report.
The vehicle was parked in the south parking lot of Falcon Hall at ASU’s Polytechnic campus, police reported.
The total estimated loss is $60, according to a police report.
- An unknown suspect or suspects committed criminal damage on a cement ash tray on the northwest corner of the Business Administration building on the Tempe campus between Jan. 25 around 12 p.m. and Jan. 26 around 7:30 a.m., police reported.The total estimated damage is $400, according to a police report.
- An unknown person or persons removed a 54-year-old male ASU student’s 2006 Piaggio Vespa motorcycle without authorization from the location where it was parked on Jan. 26 between 10:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m., police reported.The motorcycle was parked on the east side of the George M. Bateman Physical Sciences Center H Wing on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.
