Once again, the Sun Devil diving team had an impressive day at the Pac-10 Championships in Seattle.
ASU junior Constantine Blaha won the men's 3-meter springboard to capture the conference title for the second straight year.
Blaha was not along on the podium as ASU sophomore Riley McCormick took second place and junior Cameron Bradshaw came in forth.
Also for the second straight year, McCormick placed second and Blaha finished third in the 1-meter springboard.
McCormick would have liked to win the event, but his main focus will be on the 10-meter platform dive. Platform is McCormick’s best event, and he will be looking to defend his 2010 title.
Prior to the meet, ASU dive coach Mark Bradshaw stated that USC junior Harrison Jones was diving really well as of late and would be tough competition. Jones, who won the event for the second straight year, proved Bradshaw right.
The women’s swim team is also competing in the championships this weekend. The team has had success already in the relays.
ASU finished fourth in the 200 medley relay and sixth in the 800 free relay, just two-tenths of a second behind third-place USC.
