Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on Jan. 19 at approximately 3:28 a.m. near Papago Park in Tempe, police reported.During a protective sweep of his residence, police found him to be in the possession of multiple glass pipes containing marijuana, according to a police report.He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was processed and released, police reported.
- A woman was arrested between Baseline and Kyrene Roads on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Jan. 19 at approximately 2:35 a.m., police reported.After she was contacted while sitting in a vehicle in a closed park, a K-9 unit alerted police to drugs inside her vehicle, according to a police report.During a search of her purse, a plastic baggie containing a usable quantity of a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, and a teal metal container with burnt marijuana residue were located, police reported.
The suspect was transported to Tempe City Jail and was released, according to a police report.
- A man was arrested on suspicion of assault on Jan.14 at approximately 4:19 p.m. near East Curry Road and North Scottsdale Road, police reported.He then fled from the scene and ran from police, jumping into fenced residential yards, according to a police report.After investigation this man revealed he entered the house of the intended victim, wanting to assault him, police reported.
The suspect was transported to Tempe City Jail and released, according to a report.
- A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at a Circle K near West University Drive and South Mill Avenue on Jan. 14 at approximately 11:18 a.m., according to a police report.The store manager had told the suspect not to return approximately 24 times over the period of a year and now needed police intervention to ensure security, police reported.During the investigations the suspect failed to provide proof of identity and provided false information by telling police several different names and birthdates to hide a felony drug warrant, according to a police report.
The warrant was discovered through database searches, and his identity was found, police reported.
The suspect was booked and held at the Tempe City Jail, according to a report.
