ASU women’s water polo junior attacker Sarah Harris was named the MPSF Mikasawa Newcomer of the Week on Wednesday for her efforts in the Sun Devils’ 14-11 loss to California on Saturday.
Harris, a transfer from the University of the Pacific, scored five goals against the Golden Bears, bringing her season total to 32, which ranks third on the team. The South Africa native also has a team-high 27 steals and 12 assists so far this season.
This is the second straight week a Sun Devil has earned Newcomer of the Week honors, as freshman Shannon Haas took home the award last week.
