Nine ASU athletes — six from the gymnastics team and three from the women’s basketball team — were named to the Pac-10 All-Academic team Thursday.
Gymnasts Brittany Schuett (junior), Mary Atkinson (junior) and Kahoku Palofax (sophomore) all made the first team, and Schuett’s 4.0 GPA as a double major in Speech/Hearing Science and Psychology was the highest in the conference.
Sophomore gymnast Callie Price was named to the second team, while senior Kaitlynn Bormann and sophomore Kelly Reilly were honorable mention selections.
On the women’s basketball side, senior Danielle Orsillo was named to the second team, while senior Kayli Murphy and sophomore Kali Bennett earned honorable mention honors.
