ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
An unknown person or persons committed second-degree burglary by unlawfully entering and stealing various electronic devices from the room of a 19-year-old male undergraduate at Barrett, the Honors College over winter break, police reported.
The total estimated loss of property was $600, according to a police report.
There are no known leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, police reported.
An unknown person or persons committed second-degree-burglary by stealing a 32-inch television, an Xbox, and an Xbox controller from a Vista Del Sol apartment on the Tempe campus over winter break, police reported.
The items belonged to a 19-year-old male undergraduate and a 20-year-old male undergraduate and were valued at about $700, according to a police report.
An unknown person or persons entered an unsecured dorm room in Adelphi Commons on the Tempe campus between Dec. 1 and Dec. 10 and committed burglary, police reported.
The person or persons by stole several possessions from a 19-year-old female undergraduate student, according to a police report.
The property was worth an estimated $760 and included a $600 ring taken from the woman’s closet, police reported.
There are no leads, witnesses, or suspects at this time, according to a report.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
A 34-year-old Phoenix man was arrested early Tuesday morning in Jaycee Park on West Fifth Street and South Hardy Drive in Tempe on suspicion of drinking in public, police reported.
After being warned by police for violating the park’s curfew and for drinking in public, the man took a drink of his alcoholic beverage, which prompted police to arrest him, according to a report.
A search revealed the man was in possession of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia, police reported.
He was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending his drug charges, according to a report.
A 19-year-old Chandler man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting two video cameras from Fry’s Electronics Monday evening, according to a police report.
Upon searching the man, police reported he was in possession of a small bag containing a black substance believed by police to be heroin, police reported.
The search also revealed that the man was in possession of an unused needle and a spoon, according to a report.
After being transported to Tempe City Jail and booked for charges of theft, the man was released pending drug charges including being in possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
