ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 19-year-old male ASU undergraduate student was arrested at Hassayampa Academic Village on the Tempe campus on suspicion of possession of marijuana at about 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a police report.
Police responded to a call reporting the odor of marijuana coming from the room the student was in, police reported.
The man was transported to the ASU Police Department for processing and was later released, according to a report.
- A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary after he admitted to stealing two iPods, a camera, a shirt and two baseball hats, according to a police report.
The theft occurred at Adelphi Commons on the Tempe campus Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and the items stolen were estimated to be worth $510, police reported.
The suspect was subsequently arrested on charges of two counts of second-degree burglary, transported to the ASU Police Department, processed and booked into 4th Avenue Jail, according to a report.
- An unknown person or persons committed second-degree burglary by stealing $304 from the Vista del Sol apartment of a 20-year-old female undergraduate on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.
The burglary was committed between 12:15 and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, police reported.
- An unknown person or persons committed theft by unlawfully removing an ASU-owned iMac computer from a first-floor room in the A-wing of the Physical Sciences Building on the Tempe campus, police reported.
The theft was committed between 2 p.m. on Jan. 13 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 15 and the estimated loss is $2,400, according to a report.
Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 40-year-old Tempe man was arrested on suspicion of extreme DUI at North Scottsdale Road and East Gilbert Drive at about 2:39 a.m. on Thursday, police reported.
A search revealed the man was carrying two white pills and a small bag of white powder in his pants’ coin-pocket, according to police.
Upon questioning, the man stated the pills and powder were ecstasy and also admitted they belonged to him, according to a police report.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending his drug charges, according to a report.
- A 40-year-old Tempe man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of dangerous drugs, narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a civil traffic violation at 1725 S. College Ave. at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a police report.
K-9 alerts prompted police to search the man’s vehicle, which revealed two plastic bags of methamphetamines, 10 pills of generic Percocet, a digital scale and several small empty plastic bags, police reported.
The man denied using methamphetamines. He was booked and held for an outstanding warrant, according to a report.
