Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:

  • A 30-year-old Tempe woman was arrested late Wednesday night on the 1000 block of South Stanley Place on suspicion of possession of marijuana, police reported.

    The woman was contacted in reference to a verbal fight and was found to be in possession of a usable amount of marijuana and rolling papers, according to a police report.

    She was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.

  • A 24-year-old Tempe man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on the 1800 block of East Alameda Drive on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, police reported.

    Residents in the neighborhood reported seeing the man smoking from a glass pipe while he was parked near an alley, according to a police report.

    Residents also reported seeing the vehicle at the above address, police reported.

    When the vehicle was located, police found a glass pipe sitting in plain view in the car’s cup holder, according to a report.

    Further search of the vehicle revealed a small container of heroine, police reported.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession of dangerous drugs and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report.

  • A 28-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on Oct. 31 at West Fourth Street and South Mill Avenue on suspicion of having open alcohol containers in his vehicle, police reported.

    The man was stopped in his vehicle for reportedly having open containers of alcohol in his car, according to a police report.

    During investigation the man was found to be in possession of marijuana and cigar blunts, police reported.

    The man was also found to be driving on a suspended license, according to a report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession or marijuana, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of driving on a suspended license and one count for having open containers of alcohol in the vehicle, police reported.

  • A 30-year-old Queen Creek man was arrested Oct. 30 on the 1400 block of West Baseline Road on suspicion of possession of a forged instrument, police reported.

    The man was contacted during a vehicle stop for having a suspended license plate, according to a police report.

    It was revealed that he had two outstanding Mesa city warrants for his arrest, police reported.

    During a search of the vehicle, officers found two counterfeit $20 bills near where the man had been sitting, according to a report.

    The man admitted to knowing the bills were fake, police reported.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession of a forged instrument, according to a report.
