Tempe Police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • A 33-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Saturday on the 1700 block of South Dorsey Lane in Tempe on suspicion of aggravated assault, police reported.

    Investigation revealed the woman reportedly bit her boyfriend on the ear, causing him to lose part of his right ear, according to a police report.

    The woman admitted to the offense, police reported.

    The woman’s boyfriend, 39, of Tempe, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument after he reportedly struck the woman with a bottle while at the above-mentioned apartment, according to the report.

    The woman sustained a 4-inch laceration on the upper portion of her forehead that required multiple stitches at Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, where medical personnel told her she will have a permanent scar, police reported.

    The woman also had minor scratches on her face and a bruised and swollen right eye, according to the report.

    Both were treated at Tempe St. Luke’s, booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.

  • A 21-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of armed robbery on the 2100 block of East Apache Boulevard, police reported.

    Investigation revealed the man pointed a black handgun at a victim and stole her gym bag and wallet, according to a police report.

    The man reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle and was stopped by police several blocks away, and the items were located in the vehicle with the firearm, police reported.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.

  • A 24-year-old transient man was arrested Friday on suspicion of aggravated assault of a firefighter near West ninth Street and South Ash Avenue, police reported.

    The man was contacted by firefighters seeking to give him medical assistance because he was reportedly severely intoxicated and lying on the ground, according to a police report.

    When the firefighters attempted to help the man, he said, “If you f-----g touch me, I’ll bite you.” When the firefighter attempted to roll the man, he bit him on his right forearm, police reported.

    The firefighter pulled his arm away from the man and screamed, according to the report.

    The man was arrested, booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.
