ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • On Wednesday between 6 and 7:15 p.m., an unknown person or persons entered a dorm room at Palo Verde West on the Tempe campus and stole a laptop computer, police reported.

    There were no signs of forced entry and there are no suspects at this time, according to a police report.

    The total estimated loss is $3,000, police reported.

  • On Wednesday between 6 and 7:30 p.m., an unknown person or persons committed theft at the Community Services Building near East Curry Road and North Loop Drive, police reported.

    The person or persons stole two television remote controls, a television antenna, a digital cable converter box and a roll of toilet paper, according to a police report.

    The total estimated value of the items is $155, police reported.

  • A community assistant at Palo Verde Main found an abandoned bong Wednesday afternoon, police reported.

    The bong was sitting in a window in the stairwell between the first and second floors, according to a police report.

    It had green tape wrapped around the bottom portion and also around the mouthpiece, police reported.

    The bong was impounded for destruction at the ASU police station, according to a report.

Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • A 49-year-old Tempe woman was arrested early Wednesday morning on the 1000 block of East Diamond Drive on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, police reported.

    She was contacted at a vehicle stop for a traffic violation, according to a police report.

    A K-9 search of the vehicle yielded an alert and police searched the car, police reported.

    The search revealed a usable amount of methamphetamine in her purse, according to a report.

    She was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of driving on a suspended license, two counts of possession of dangerous drugs and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.

  • A 23-year-old Glendale woman was arrested late Monday night at East Rio Salado Parkway and South Mill Avenue on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs, police reported.

    While at the Marquee Theatre, she was found in possession of a vial containing a white powder substance later found to be cocaine, according to a police report.

    A security guard asked her to throw away the vial and leave the business, which the woman did, police reported.

    Police were contacted and the cocaine was located in the trash, according to a report.

    The woman admitted to purchasing the vial for $20, using the cocaine and throwing it away, police reported.

    She was transported to Tempe City Jail and booked on one count of possession of narcotic drugs, according to a report.

  • A 45-year-old transient man was arrested Sunday afternoon on the 2100 block of East Orange Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct, police reported.

    Investigation revealed the man had been in a physical altercation with a woman at the Escalante Community Center in Tempe, according to a police report.

    The altercation took place at a family picnic in front of children, police reported.

    The man also had a valid felony warrant, according to a report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of disorderly conduct, police reported.
