Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:

  • A 31-year-old Tempe man was arrested on Sept. 25 on the 500 block of West Southern Avenue on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs, police reported.

    The man was contacted in an apartment that wasn’t his own, according to a police report.

    The owner was not home and management was worried people other than the renters were in the apartment, police reported.

    The man provided identification from Nevada and police were made aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest, according to a report.

    During a search police found a bag containing a white powder substance believed to be cocaine located in his shorts, police reported.

    A test of the substance revealed it to be cocaine, according to a report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession of narcotic drugs, police reported.

  • An 18-year-old male ASU student was arrested on Sept. 23 on the Tempe campus on suspicion of possession of marijuana, police reported.

    The man was contacted in his dorm room after a complaint of burning marijuana, according to a police report.

    Upon contact a usable amount of marijuana was found in plain view on his desk along with an empty cigar, police reported.

    Police could see the marijuana from outside the room, according to a report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
