Tempe Police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • A 29-year-old Tempe man was arrested Wednesday morning on the 900 block of East Weber Drive on suspicion of theft and trafficking of stolen property, police reported.

The man stole DVDs that reportedly belonged to his sister and then sold them at For Your Entertainment, according to a police report.

The man stated he knew the DVDs he sold were not his and that he did not have permission to take them, police reported.

The man was booked into Tempe City Jail where he was held to see a judge, according to a report.

  • A 47-year-old Tempe man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on the 1900 block of East Los Arboles Drive on suspicion of theft, trafficking of stolen property and forgery, police reported.

The man reportedly stole his father-in-law’s shotgun and then had his wife pawn the firearm because he is not legally allowed to carry a firearm, according to a police report.

The man admitted to the crime and then revealed he had also stolen one of his father-in-law’s checks, forged it and had an acquaintance cash the check, police reported.

The man admitted to all of the crimes and blamed his actions on his addiction to crystal methamphetamine, according to a report.

  • A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of sexual abuse after he was identified in a photo lineup, police reported.

On Aug. 30 the man reportedly grabbed a woman around her waist and offered her $50 if she would have sexual intercourse with him, according to a police report.

The man held the woman as she struggled to get away and groped her several times, according to a report.

He was arrested near South Terrace Road and East Apache Boulevard, police reported.

The man denied the incident and was held to see a judge, police reported.
