Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 41-year-old transient man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. on Monday on suspicion of third-degree burglary, assault and disorderly conduct, police reported.
The man was arrested at the 600 block of South Mill Avenue after a police investigation, police reported.
The man was a suspect in a theft that took place at Urban Outfitters earlier that night, according to a police report.
The man walked out of Urban Outfitters, located at 545 S. Mill Ave., with a camera valued at $86.50 that he did not pay for, according to the report.
Investigation later revealed the man was given a trespass warning, which he violated upon entering Jack in the Box at 721 S. Mill Ave., police reported.
He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was held to see a judge, police reported.
- A 40-year-old transient man was arrested at 7:40 p.m. on Monday on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest at West University Drive and South Priest Drive, police reported.
The man was contacted after trespassing at the Circle K at 802 S. Hardy Drive, according to a police report.
Upon being arrested, the man began fighting with officers, police reported.
He was taken into custody and placed under arrest, police reported.
- A 19-year-old Mesa man was arrested at 4 p.m. on Monday on suspicion of possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license, police reported.
Officers noticed the smell of burning marijuana coming from the man’s car, which was in the turn lane at the stoplight near South Mill Avenue and West Baseline Road, police reported.
Officers followed the vehicle westbound on Baseline Road before pulling it over near South Kyrene and West Baseline roads, according to a police report.
A search of the car revealed a plastic pill bottle with a usable quantity of marijuana and a multi-colored glass pipe with black residue that smelled of burnt marijuana, according to the report.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A motorcycle belonging to a 21-year-old male ASU student was stolen between 2 and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, police reported.
An unknown person or persons removed the blue 2007 Honda motorcycle from where it was parked on the east side of Palo Verde Main residence hall on the Tempe campus, police reported.
There are no suspects, witnesses or leads at the time.
- Between midnight and 11 a.m. on Tuesday, an unknown person or persons broke into the car of a 19-year-old male ASU student, police reported.
The car was broken into through the passenger window, which was completely broken out, police reported.
Unidentified personal property was removed from the vehicle, according to a police report.
The car was parked in the southwest parking lot of Ocotillo residence hall on the Tempe campus, police reported.
There are no suspects, witnesses or leads at the time.
