Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 21-year-old transient man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of first-degree trespassing, police reported.
The man was arrested on the 100 block of East Fifth Street, according to a police report.
The man is suspected of trespassing inside an apartment on the 1600 block of East University Drive on March 13, police reported.
The victim told police he came home around 2:40 p.m. and found the suspect in the living room of his apartment, according to the report.
The suspect said the front door was unlocked, police reported.
The victim said he met the suspect one time in the past, but that the two are not friends and the suspect did not have permission to enter the home, according to a report.
The victim reported that $19 in cash was missing from his bedroom, though he never saw the suspect near his bedroom, police reported.
The suspect was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
- A 26-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession and destruction of evidence of a crime, police reported.
The man was arrested at West Baseline Road and South Calle Los Cerros Drive in Tempe for a civic traffic violation, according to a police report.
The police officer saw a green leaf on the man’s pant leg and smelled marijuana inside the car, police reported.
When the suspect exited the vehicle, several marijuana leaves fell into the road, according to the report.
The officer also found a glass pipe with marijuana residue inside the vehicle, police reported.
When the suspect was in the process of being detained, he began stomping on the marijuana leaves and grinding them into the road, according to the report.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending charges, police reported.
- A 49-year-old Mesa man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and marijuana, police reported.
The suspect was arrested on the 1300 block of South Price Road after his family called police to report that he was in possession of methamphetamines and marijuana, according to a police report.
When police approached the man he was placing items inside a vehicle with the windows rolled down and the ignition running, police reported.
Police told the suspect to step away from the vehicle, and a small package containing crystals believed to be crystal methamphetamine fell on the ground, according to the report.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending charges, police reported.
