ASU police reported the following incident Thursday:
- Two witnesses reported seeing unknown suspect throw a rock through the window of a Palo Verde West dorm room on the Tempe campus Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report.
The estimated damage is about $600, police reported. There are no suspects or investigative leads.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 29-year-old Mesa woman was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of aggravated DUI and driving on a suspended license, according to a police report.
The woman was stopped at West Southern Avenue and South Priest Drive in Tempe by police after running a red light at the intersection, according to the report.
During the stop, the woman was found to be under the influence of alcohol and driving under a suspended license for an earlier DUI conviction, police reported.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, according to the report.
- A 23-year-old Tempe woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia at the Fry’s on the 3200 block of South Mill Avenue on Monday afternoon, according to a police report.
The woman was detained by store security after trying to leave the store with makeup items she had taken off the shelf without paying, police reported.
A search of the woman’s purse revealed syringes filled with a clear liquid and plastic bags filled with a white rock substance that appeared to be methamphetamines, police reported.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, according to the report.
- A 25-year-old Chandler woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana at South Priest Drive and West Elliot Road early Monday morning, according to a police report.
The woman was stopped for running a stop sign at the intersection, and the officer “noticed the odor of marijuana” coming from inside the car, police reported.
A search of the car revealed a small quantity of the substance between her seat and the center console, according to the report.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
