ASU police reported the following incident Tuesday:
- A 19-year-old Tempe man was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of consumption of alcohol on the north side of the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center building after police stopped him for fighting, according to a police report.
Officers reported seeing the man strike another man in the face on the west side of Palo Verde Main on the Tempe campus, according to the report.
When the two officers announced their arrival, both men ran away, police reported.
After a chase through the first level of Parking Structure 5, a police aide caught up to the man on the steps of the aquatic center, according to the report.
Tempe police reported the following incident Tuesday:
- An 18-year-old Tempe man was arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of unlawful flight from law enforcement, according to a police report.
After police stopped the man for driving with expired registration, he drove away, police reported.
When he reached a cul-de-sac inside an apartment complex on the 1800 block of East Broadway Road, the man attempted to flee on foot, according to the report.
After a short pursuit on foot, the man was apprehended, booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.
