Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 29-year-old Tempe man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police reported.
The man was stopped at the 5000 block of South Mill Avenue at about midnight on Wednesday, police reported.
An investigation revealed he was driving with a suspended license and was under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report.
Further investigation revealed his blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.102 percent, police reported.
The man was taken to Tempe City Jail and booked for aggravated DUI, according to the report.
- A 27-year-old Tempe man was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of driving on a revoked license and fleeing the scene of an injury collision, according to police reports.
The man was driving a van eastbound on East Broadway Road and South McClintock Drive when he turned left into a private business, police reported. During the turn, a motorcycle struck his van, and the man fled the scene, according to a report.
Police and witnesses saw the man leave the scene and followed him to an apartment complex on the 1200 block of East Vista del Cerro Drive, police reported.
An investigation revealed the man was driving on a revoked license, and he had a prior conviction for driving under the influence of drugs in 2005, according to the report.
Police reported that the man displayed symptoms of marijuana use, including slow response to questions, eyelid tremors and a green coating with raised taste buds on his tongue.
A blood test was submitted and police are waiting on results to determine if the man was under the influence of marijuana at the time, according to the report.
The motorcycle driver was hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, police reported.
- A 48-year-old Mesa woman was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
During a traffic stop near East Guadalupe Road and South Terrace Road, police found two straws, a scale and three glass vials that contained a usable quantity of white powder believed to be cocaine inside the woman’s purse, according to the report.
Police reported the woman was holding another glass vial with drug residue in her left hand at the time of her arrest.
The woman was taken to Tempe City Jail and released pending charges.
